Let me be the first to say, that we need to use God’s wisdom in these unusual times. But using God’s wisdom, is not operating in fear! Instead, it is being led by His Spirit and His Word! These two forces, will never lead you into danger, and will never take you to a place of sickness or disease! Never! That’s good news!
Proverbs 3:1-6, “My son, do not forget my law, but let your heart keep my commands; 2 For length of days and long life and peace they will add to you. 3 Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart, 4 And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man. 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
Notice, it says that we will live long on the earth and we will live in peace! It also says, we will live in the favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man. When we walk fearlessly with the Lord, the world notices. All of this comes by keeping His direction, or His written and spoken Word to us.
As we trust God during these trying times, and don’t try to figure things out ourselves, but acknowledge Jesus, He will direct our steps! In other words, listen to, obey the commands of Jesus, and we will navigate through difficult times in a way that brings honor to God!
The coronavirus does not lead us! The virus does not direct our lives. The Spirit and Word of God continue to do that for us!
Life Has Changed but Jesus Has Not
Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, and today and forever.” Jesus never does change but we do! We can change each and every day, and become more like Him! What would Jesus do today, if He lived in our world? Would He shelter in place and never go out? Would He keep His mouth shut, and leave people alone? Would He go into hiding to protect Himself?
Of course not, He would be moving in the world, telling people about His Heavenly Father and demonstrating His love, grace, and mercy to a frightened world! His assignment would not have changed, but His audience would have. Many frightened, worried, and terrorized people, would find hope, faith, and encouragement by His Words!
This is what we should be doing today, as His Church! We are the Body of Christ! It is time for us to stand up and declare His love, grace, and mercy to an unbelieving world! Our assignment has not changed, only our methods. We must reach the people during these unusual times with the Word and Spirit of almighty God!!
Not Much has Changed for the Believer (Us)
You know, for the believer, who is full of the Spirit and Word of God, not much has changed for us! We are still praying, believing, being led by His Spirit and Word, preaching, teaching, and healing the sick!
We are still going into the world as He leads us. He still is going before us. He is still watching over us! He is still protecting us and providing for us. He is still bringing the miracles, signs, and wonders into our lives when we need them. Not much has changed for us!
My wife and I are not living in lack! God is and has provided everything we need! When we need toilet paper, He leads us to it! When we need bottled water, He leads us to it! When we need food, it is provided for us! When we need favor with man, we have it! When we need to see loved ones, He makes a way!
So, be encouraged! God has not changed! There is no reason for you to live in fear! There is no reason for you to stay a prisoner in your own home! There is no reason for you to live in lack! There is no reason for you to go without!
Why? Because Jesus is still Alive! He is Risen! He loves you! Receive His love today, and walk fearlessly with Him in a world that is in fear!
Remember 2 Timothy 1:7, “for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” You have a sound mind! Say that to yourself until you believe it! You do not operate in fear, but in the power of your faith in God! You operate in the love of God, that never fails!
God is for you, who can be against you? No, not ever the coronavirus!
You have the victory over the coronavirus because 1 John 4:4 is true, “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”
