Dear Friend,

It is hard to believe that the summer is coming to an end. Here at the Jersey Shore, we really like September because most of the renters are gone. The island becomes very quiet, the streets are really dark at night, which makes the stars really come alive! The ocean water is usually nice and there is no one at the beach. So, even though the summer seems to have gone by rather quickly, we are so glad September has arrived!

Yes He Will

Last month I wrote to you an encouraging word entitled, “Yes I Can.” This month I sense to continue that message with this thought, “Yes He Will.” In other words, we all need to settle in our hearts, that whatever we need God to do in our lives for us, if we can find it in His Word, then we know that “Yes He Will” for me.

For most of us, we have no trouble believing “God can do anything.” Where we are challenged is, “will He do it for me?” This is the biggest playground the devil uses to keep us from receiving, whatever it is we need from God. The devil doesn’t mind you knowing God can do anything, he just does not want you to believe He will do it for you!

The devil is the source of all discouragement. God is the source of all encouragement when it comes to spiritual things. So know this, if the devil is throwing all of his discouragement at you, it is actually a compliment! The enemy would not be fighting so hard if he knew God would never help you! But since he knows that God is more powerful than he is, he then tries to convince us that we (for whatever reason) will not receive what we need from God!

Get Rid of Doubt

Years ago, when I was the Athletic Director at Victory Christian School, they brought my second son Matthew (he was about 1.5 years old) to me. He was screaming as loud as he could, from being in tremendous pain. From the waist down, his legs were completely black, they were red hot, and so full that when you touched them, they felt like over inflated balloons that were about to burst!

I told the people around me to call the City of Faith Emergency Room and inform them I was bringing Matthew in. When we got there, they were waiting on us. After checking him out and admitting him to the hospital, they performed many, many tests on him to find out what was wrong.

Hours later, his doctor told me and my wife Melanie, that he and his staff had no idea what was wrong with Matthew. He told me, we were about to hit a cross roads, which meant that Matthew would either start getting better, or he would get worse (which meant major organ failure, brain failure, and he would wind up either dead or a human vegetable the rest of his life).

I told the doctor, we were praying that God would give him His wisdom and revelation on what was wrong with Matthew and how to treat him. He was shocked that with my son’s life in the balance, my focus was to pray for him, our doctor!

We immediately started praying against the worst and believing the best according to His Word. Two families had set up a prayer room across the hallway from Matthew’s room. I went in there to give them the latest report, and when I entered the room, for the first time the prayer room was set up, no one was in there! I was shocked!

I sat down and picked up an Oral Robert’s Commentary Bible that was on the table. I blindly opened the Bible to the story of the doubting Thomas. I read the story, then read Oral’s commentary.

In his commentary he said (I am paraphrasing) when you are believing God for a miracle, you have to remove all doubt. He went on to explain, when believing for a miracle, there will be a completion of your faith. There will be a time that the miracle will manifest itself! You will be able to see it and touch it! It will manifest for all to see, Glory to God!!

I remember saying to the Lord, “if there is any doubt in me, please show it to me. My son’s life is in the balance! I cannot have him die, due to my doubt. Please, please show me if I have any doubt in me!”

The Holy Ghost then showed me deep, deep down in my spirit a short video. In this video, I saw myself presiding over my son’s funeral! I actually saw this in my mind when they first brought Matthew to my office screaming!

I stood up and said, I see it, I see it Lord! Please forgive me of ever doubting you! From this moment on, I see my son is healed and will live long on the earth! I walked back into his room and immediately all of his monitors crashed (the fight of faith was on)! I spoke to each monitor and commanded them to go back to normal readings, which they did. This happened 3 more times, and each time I commanded them to go back to normal reading and they did.

The doctor came in and said, “I have been praying and I believe God showed me what to do. We need to perform a certain procedure and with your consent, I believe it will show us what is wrong with Matthew. My response was, “are you sure you heard from God?” He said yes, I signed the consent, and the medical procedure showed a rare disease they had never seen in this hospital and only a few times in this country.

The doctor informed us, that he now needed to give Matthew a certain medicine, that in 24 hours would completely rid Matthew’s body of this disease. I asked the doctor if the medicine was in Matthew’s body. He said it was! In front of the doctors and nurses we laid our hands on Matthew and commanded the medicine to work at God’s speed and for the healing to fully manifest now in Jesus name!

In less than one hour, Matthew was healed, Glory to God! This was on a Sunday morning, my wife just got back to Matthew’s room, from the 9:00 church service, where they prayed for Matthew. I went to the 11:00 church service, where Pastor Billy Joe Daugherty stopped the service and brought me up so they could pray for Matthew.

I asked Pastor Billy Joe if I could give a praise report. He said yes by all means. I told the congregation what had just happened to Matthew, and that he was now totally healed! Glory to God! The congregation erupted into a loud praise to God and His presence fell on the place.

Maybe you need healing in your body and your health restored! Maybe you need a financial miracle! Maybe you need a relationship restored! Whatever you need, ask the Holy Ghost to show you if you have any doubt! If you do, repent and start declaring His Word over your life! If there is no doubt, start praising Him now for the complete manifestation of what you are believing for!

If you are or have been taking medical treatments that you know God ordained for you to have, then please know they are blessed by the hand of God! Never doubt that! If the medicine or treatment is now inside your body, declare it to fully manifest the life of God inside of you now, in Jesus name. Now stand up and declare that you are healed of the Lord! That you will live long on the earth and declare His wonderful works!

Remember, not only can God do it for you, but He is doing it for you! Not only can you say “Yes I Can,” but now you can say “Yes He Will” and “Yes He Has.”

Dear Friend,

Kim and I are in the final week of our ministry/family trip to the Midwest. Today, we are in Ponca City, OK with my daughter and her family. It has been great seeing them for a few days at a time, every week we have been here. We love playing with our Okie grandsons, Landon and Jace. They are so much fun!

We pray your summer has been and will continue to be a time of relaxing, enjoying family and friends, and getting away from your everyday routine of life!

Yes I Can!

A few weeks ago, the Holy Spirit dropped these 3 words in my spirit: “Yes I Can!” He immediately started showing me through His Word, how people face obstacles, challenges, and attacks in their lives! He said, “no matter what people face, they need to be reminded that they can overcome any situation they face because of all I went through and did for them through my death, burial, and resurrection.”

He instructed me to encourage you and others. He said because of what He said and did, we can say “Yes I Can” to any situation we face. Remember Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” No matter what you are facing, everything in the unseen realm is working together for your good. Believe God for His favor and abundant life and you will see Him come through for you in the natural realm.

In Luke 1:37, “For with God nothing will be impossible.” It does not matter what you are going through, God is able with every impossible situation you face, to do a miracle for you. Just look to Him and say to yourself, Yes I Can!

3 John 2, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” God compares our prosperity and health to our salvation. That is so awesome! In one translation He said “above all things.” There is nothing higher than that. So above everything in the world and in heaven, above everything, He wants you to prosper and be in good health so you can use your prosperity to bless the world. “Yes I Can!”

Ephesians 3:20, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” Notice the words “above all.” We say those same two words in 3 John 2.

So twice God has said to us, that He is willing to do above all, just for us in situations in life that we face. So nothing is impossible for Him. Just use the power that is within you, and that power is your faith in God. Go read Mark 11:22-26 to see your faith soar with God and watch your miracles start now!

So no matter what you are facing, you can say, “Yes I Can,” because God is working on your behalf!
Because of what Jesus said and did, He has enabled you to say, “Yes I Can.”

Testimony of “Yes I Can”

Those of us who preach the Gospel, also get a chance to live on what we preach. Kim and I were driving our car in Tulsa a few days ago, and the engine started to cut out. When it did that, the engine would struggle to continue. Then the engine light came on, and it hesitated some more.

Then the engine light went off and the engine ran fine. This continued for a couple of minutes, finally Kim and I agreed we needed to drive the car to the Hyundai Dealer. Kim said as we drove, this will be a great testimony for God. All I could hear in my spirit was, “Yes I Can.”

Once we drove the car there, told them what was wrong, they took the car in to see what was wrong with it. Our friends came and picked us up because it was going to take a while for them to get to the car. They later called me and said the “bad news” was the engine had broken internally, probably a rod had busted loose. So the engine was “fried.”

Our service agent said he and the dealership had never seen this make and model car ever go past 242,000 miles. I always believe for God to make our things last longer, and believed God to help this car go over 250,000 miles. The car had 272,000 + miles on it, when we took it in.

They decided to call the company, and the company agreed with the General Manager at the dealership, that because their engine had gone over 272,000 miles, one which they had never seen or heard of, they would put a new engine in our car at no cost to us!!!! Glory to God!!!

They also decided to give us a rental car for the time they have our car, at no cost to us! Can I get a witness, Praise the Lord!!!

And it looks like once the new engine has been installed, they will probably ship the car to us in NJ at no cost to us. They said we can even turn the rental car in, once we have our car back, to a location in NJ!!! Can you say, Glory to God!!

A new engine will cost somewhere between $6-9,000. God is so good. So we are now driving a 2019 Hyundai Tuscon rental car, which we will take back to NJ with us next Tuesday! Praise God!!

So let me encourage you, no matter what you are facing, no matter how big the giant, God has a stone that will kill that giant and put you in a place of victory, as you say and believe, “Yes I Can.” If He did this for us, He will do it for you! “Yes You Can” because Jesus says for you to say, “Yes I Can.”

Dear Friend,

As I am sitting here in the AC at our house on the Jersey Shore, the weather here has definitely turned hot! Today it is in the low 90’s, which to my OK friends is not that hot. I’ve seen your heat indexes over 105 degrees last week. So, as my wife Kim says to her Okie friends, turn the oven down to 75 for our arrival in 2 weeks.

The Working of the Holy Spirit

The Spirit of God, the Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit are all talking about the 3rd person of the Godhead! He is a person and we are living in the dispensation of His work that Jesus talked about. That is why it is so important to know the Holy Spirit, how He moves, what His purposes are, and how He is to be involved in our lives today!

In Gen. 1:2, “The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.” When we translate this out of the original Hebrew language, this hovering over the waters means like a chicken hovers over an egg to hatch it. In other words, the Spirit of God was just over the earth and in a mode over a vast planet that had no form and was empty.

Then as God spoke, His Spirit started creating whatever He spoke as it hovered over the earth. Today, according to the Word of God, whatever we speak that lines up with the Word of God, will create on the earth, whatever we need to have created, in order to do His will on the earth! Praise God!

What is coming out of your mouth? Are you creating God’s will or are you coming against His will? You are doing one or the other! Used properly in cooperation with His Spirit, we can create here in this life, whatever God needs, in order to reach people with His Word!

Jesus Sends Us the Holy Spirit

According to John 16:7, “Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.” Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to the earth for us, so we could accomplish His will here!

See my friend, Jesus had limitations on His ministry here on the earth. One of His biggest limitations was He could only be in one place at one time. So, when He sent the Holy Spirit to the earth, He got rid of that limitation. Now He (the Spirit of God) could be everywhere on the earth at the same time. He got rid of the barrier of distance and time by sending the Holy Spirit to us. Can I get an Amen? Amen!

As I am writing this to you from the Jersey Shore, the Holy Spirit is not only here, but He is there with you as well. He is right now in China, He is under and above the earth. He is everywhere, all at the same time.

God challenged me years ago, to get to know His Spirit better than I can see people with my natural eye. In other words, to be spiritually minded and have a relationship with the Holy Spirit that transcends all of my natural relationships. It is my desire, to know Him, better than I can see you! Glory to God!

So let me encourage you today, spend time with His Spirit and watch your life change! There is nothing better, nothing more important, nothing more needed, than giving His Spirit your time! Build a relationship with the Holy Spirit! When you do, your life will never be the same! Miracles will be the most natural way for you to live as He shows you things to come (John 16:13).

I pray you had a great Father’s Day with family and friends! Remember, the Bible says to honor those who have honored us. So if you have not done it yet, reach out to your earthly father and let him know how much you love him. If he has gone on to be with the Lord (like my dad), then rejoice we will see them again. Glory to God!

The Favor of God

The Bible declares that Jesus had favor with God and man! Luke 2:52 (NKJV) “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” If Jesus grew in favor so can we! Notice it says here, that He grew in favor with God and men.

We should walk every day in the favor of God and the favor of man. Favor can be more valuable than money or possessions. In fact, favor can bring to you, whatever you need, regardless if you have money or not.

Webster says, “favor is: to regard or treat with favor (1) : to do a kindness for : OBLIGE (2) : ENDOW: to treat gently or carefully 2 : to show partiality toward : PREFER 3a : to give support or confirmation to : SUSTAIN b : to afford advantages for success to : FACILITATE good weather favored the outing.”

God wants to treat you with kindness, gently, carefully, support you, confirm you, and give you advantages for success. When you believe for His favor, it will come to you. He wants you to succeed!

His favor will also work through other people! There are times in this life that we need the favor of man! When that happens, know that came from God not man! God has always worked through people and still does! So, when you see His favor, thank Him! Be grateful and let Him know how much you appreciate His favor!

God Gives Favor to the Humble

James 4:6 tells us, “But He gives more grace. Wherefore He says, God resists the proud, but gives favor to the humble.” In other words, to receive the favor of God, we need to stay humble. Humility is not weakness, it is strength. To believe God for favor and to walk in His favor, you have to stay humble.

If we get prideful, He will resist us. If God is resisting us, we will not be successful! I want His favor so I can be successful! So let go of any pride that is in your life! Be ever mindful of His favor for your life!

Favor can turn a no into a yes! It can open a closed door! It can even create what is not there to enable you to do the impossible! So today believe, receive, and walk in His favor!

God’s Favor is Now

2 Corn. 6:2, For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you. I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.” The favor of God is now, not tomorrow!

Tomorrow is a word the devil uses a lot to keep you from the provision of God! The Bible teaches us that He is the God of the now!

There are things you and I need God to do now! His favor allows that! So look unto Him at all times and especially when you need Him now! He will not disappoint you!

The help of God is always available to us! It is up to us to walk in it! He has given His help to us, so use His favor for your benefit and help others with it! We serve a God of Divine favor!

I have seen His favor time and time again in my life and ministry. Years ago, we learned about God’s favor and received over $18,000 in goods, services, and money over a period of a few months in our personal lives! We were being so blessed by God, as we learned He wanted to pour out His blessings to us, so we would be blessed, and so we could bless others!

What are you waiting for? Start declaring, speaking, believing, for God’s favor starting right now and every day for the rest of your life! This is part of the abundant life Jesus talked about in John 10:10.

Dear Friend,

As we approach Easter, the world is preparing for Easter egg hunts, lots of chocolate, and fun times with our families. But let me encourage you, this Easter, let your family and friends know about the true meaning of Easter.

Easter is the most important Holiday we celebrate in the world. Why? Because, it is what makes what we believe as Christians, come alive! Jesus is Alive!

The Resurrection of Christ

All of the other religions in the world, have a belief system that centers around gods that are dead. But for Christians, we serve a God that is alive! Jesus is not dead but He is alive for evermore! The grave could not hold him. The devil could not dethrone Him. Man could not control Him!

He came with an assignment from His Father to carry out on the earth, but it would end in Heaven! When He presented His blood on the Mercy Seat in the Heavenly Tabernacle, He paid the price in redeeming us back to God!

Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin. But since He shed His blood for us, He paid the ultimate sacrifice so we could be saved, healed, delivered, and restored back to God! Because He is alive today, our sins can be forgiven!

Jesus Changed our Nature

When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, sin came into the world. Since that time, and up to today, every person born into this world, is born with a sin nature. Because Jesus was raised from the dead, when we believe in our heart, and confess with our mouth, that He is Lord, at that moment, He comes into our spirit and changes our sinful nature to His nature, that is sinless. We are saved and born-again when we make Jesus Lord!

Yes, we will still sin, but now there is a way to receive forgiveness for the times we sin as Christians. When we ask Him for forgiveness, the Bible teaches us He forgives and forgets our sin. He gives us a brand new start! So, if you have sinned today, just ask Him to forgive you! He will!

Having the nature of Christ living on the inside of us, is what enables us to overcome in this world! Jesus conquered death, hell, and the grave when God raised Him from the dead! We have been raised up with Him and sit with Him spiritually in Heavenly places, far above all principalities, powers, in this world and in the world to come!

The devil is defeated and Jesus is Lord of all! Glory to God! You have His resurrection power inside of you! So walk fearlessly in this world. If the grave could not hold Him, it cannot hold you! Walk in His resurrection power here in the earth, and release that power into the lives of those around you!

This Easter is when people who never go to church will come! Make it a priority of yours, to take your loved ones to church this Easter! Invite your friends, neighbors, co-workers, and enemies to come and celebrate with you! I guarantee, you get them to church, God will take care of the rest!

Let us celebrate the true meaning of Easter, and announce to the world, Jesus is alive and alive for evermore! Tell them Jesus is Lord! Then tell them what He has done for you!

Seeing others receive Jesus as their Lord, is the greatest fulfillment you can ever experience! Go ahead, help Jesus reach others this Easter! There is nothing else you can do that will be more important! God loves you, but He also loves them! Help Him reach them! You were once just like them!

Dear Friend,

I pray you are enjoying the last few days of winter. Here at the Jersey Shore, we have had a very mild winter. The temps have been 8-10 degrees below normal for most of the winter, and we have had a lot of rain, but almost no snow. In fact, we have not used our snow shovel at all this winter.

They tell us it is going to be 65 degrees by Friday, which will be really nice. Kim has been able to snow ski about once a week for a while, but knows her ski season is winding down.

Focus Your Faith

Last month I shared with you about Dreams. This month I want to speak to you about how to focus your faith so what God has shown you can come to pass. It is one thing for God to place something in your heart, move you to a place of receiving His Word, but is another thing to step out and see it come to pass.

Over the years, when God has shown me something to do, He always brings me to a place of having to really focus my faith to bring it to pass. That usually means, He has me so thoroughly convinced of what I am to do, that I know that I have to step out in faith and just do it! Against all odds, I just believe God and step out on His Word and nothing else matters.

No matter what my mind tries to tell me, no matter what the world tells me, no matter what family or friends tell me, I know that I have to obey God! This is a great place to be, because as long as you have heard from God correctly, you are about to see miracle after miracle take place in your life!

God’s instructions always put us in a position to say either yes or no to Him! It is always better to say yes to God than to disobey Him! Isaiah 1:19 says, “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.” That means, as long as you obey God, you will accomplish what He wants you to do here in the earth. Your success is guaranteed by someone who has never made a mistake! Awesome!!

This takes the fear out of the picture and puts you in a position to be extremely focused on His plan. The word focused, according to Webster means: a center of activity, attraction, or attention, a point of concentration, directed attention, a state or condition permitting clear perception or understanding, the area that may be seen distinctly or resolved into a clear image.
So we see, to be focused on what God wants us to do, means we will do the following:

1. Increase our activity (shows movement)
2. Have our attention directed by Him
3. Be attracted to what God wants
4. Concentrate on His plan
5. Have clear perceptions
6. Have a clear understanding (knowing what God wants)
7. See a clear image-we can see exactly what God sees

This means there is no guess work in what we are to do! We have specific, focused details and a specific plan put in our hearts by God that we are to follow! If we follow the focus of God in our lives, then we will be successful!

Zoom in Like a Camera

Most cameras these days have a feature on them that lets us zoom in with the focus (getting closer to our image or picture without moving in closer physically). As we zoom in, the picture gets bigger and bigger in the frame we are looking at!

God is the same way! As we focus on His plan and directives, He brings a clearer picture for us to see, so our faith can grab it and say this is possible, I can do this! Concentrate on what He has shown you, zoom in for the details, and then just go do it!

As you do it, keep your eyes on God, make any adjustments He shows you, and continue to obey Him. If you make a mistake, remember He is the “greatest fixer” of all times! He will guide you back on the right path, and lead you once again to the fulfillment of what He wants you to do!

Allow God to take you to the greatest life you will ever experience! There is nothing quite like living a life that is impossible, in a way that testifies to the greatness of God! This is what Jesus died and was raised from the dead for, so you could have access to God our Father 24/7!

Focus, focus, focus on God and watch your life grow! You have faith, now like a laser beam, focus that faith on the one and only true God! Your life will never be the same!
